One of the great recent successes of North Euclid Church of God, is a grief support group started under the leadership of Betsy Holsing.

Betsy’s husband, Harlan Holsing, passed away in December of 2020. Betsy, who was mourning the loss of her husband, and a widow, felt led by the Lord to start a grief support group, for many of our other congregants who had recently lost loved ones, and spouses as well.

Out of Betsy’s obedience to the Lord, was “birthed” a Thursday afternoon grief support group. In this support group, under Betsy’s leadership, they learn how to work through the steps of grief, by experts in the field. This group supports one another, empathizes with one another, learns biblical truths about mourning, and God’s healing from grief, and in the process, are helping each other heal, from loss, a little more day by day.

God has raised this group up, God continues to add more to this group (from our church and those outside, as well), and together they are finding healing, empathy and support from one another and from God. God is doing wonderful healing work, in the lives of many, through the wonderful Thursday afternoon grief support group at North Euclid Church of God.
